Lives & works in Australia

Stephanie is a set and costume designer who has worked across theatre, circus, dance, and film. She is a design graduate from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) as well as an arts graduate from the Australian National University (ANU). Stephanie has always been drawn to the performing arts because of its collaborative nature, its immediacy to audience, and its capability for powerful storytelling. She is particularly drawn to works with a political and sociological nature.

As well as working as a set and costume designer Stephanie has taught design at Melbourne Polytechnic, University of Sydney, National Institute of Dramatic and various high schools across Sydney. Stephanie also collaborates frequently as a guest artist at Studio A.

Experience as a design tutor has developed a keen interest in community and art education. Stephanie is fascinated by artistic process and is an advocate for how artistic expression can benefit mental health and wellbeing, as well as facilitate a sense of belonging. She hopes to supplement her design work in the future with a community practice that supports artistic development with disadvantaged people within Australia.
